Christadelphian Hymn Videos & Audio For Streaming

Saturday, 8th May 2021

We are delighted to announce more Hymn videos and audio recordings are now available for you to download, use in streaming of meetings or to just listen to!  The whole Christadelphian hymnbook can be browsed at https://www.isolationleague.org/hymns. Each hymn has the recording by the Northern Christadelphian Choir, a video which shows the words for each line as it is sung, and various organ and piano accompaniments / voluntaries.

We have recently added a large number of alternative videos which display the words for each verse as they are sung and we're now added alternative piano voluntaries to a selection of the hymns as well (please see Hymn 1 for example).

The CIL have also renewed the copyright licenses which enables us to make the copyright hymns available to you and for CIL Meet users to stream the copyright hymns via our integrations with Zoom, Google Meet and Microsoft Teams.

Breaking of Bread Recordings for Olivet

Friday, 19th February 2021

During the COVID-19 pandemic and lockdown it is not possible for brethren to visit the Olivet care home and provide a short breaking of bread service for the residents.  Instead these services are being recorded each week by a different ecclesia, and where possible these are now being shared on the CIL Recordings Library so more may benefit from this service.  There is one reading, a short exhortation and hymns are played during each of the emblems.  A different ecclesia produces the recording each week with a small number of brethren from that ecclesia involved in the reading, prayers and exhortation.

The latest recordings are available here: https://www.isolationleague.org/olivet (you need to be logged on to the CIL website to see the list of recordings).

Coronavirus: ongoing support provided by the CIL

Monday, 2nd November 2020

The Christadelphian Isolation League (CIL) is there to help should you be isolated from your ecclesia for any reason, whether that is distance or health, or (as many of us are experiencing) lockdowns due to the present situation.  Our support and services are requested on your behalf by your ecclesia, and include providing you with regular exhortations, bible studies and lectures.  This material can be sent by post, and is also available on our website.

We also send out a magazine three times a year, run a Sunday School by post, Youth Activities and have a recordings library with exhortations, studies, gatherings (and hymns!) to listen to or watch on our website or download

Our CIL Meet live streaming platform can provide you with online and free phone access to ecclesial services, which can now be extended to visitors / contacts (via YouTube or Google Meet).

You can contact us via the website, our other contact details are also in the CALS Diary.

Singing in Isolation

Friday, 30th October 2020

With many of us currently unable to meet together in our halls, being in some form of Isolation, one aspect of our fellowship that we sorely miss is singing hymns together.

The recordings of hymns may be a blessing at this time as we meet in homes, via online meetings and as we return to our halls (albeit in a restricted manner for many).   These are available on the CIL website at https://www.isolationleague.org/hymns.

The hymn recordings can be downloaded or played from your browser and are available in audio format.  We are in the process of uploading the words of each hymn, along with a video that displays the words to the hymn as it is being performed, as well as recordings of an Organ accompaniment and voluntary, and a Piano accompaniment.

The work to complete this update is about half-way through, progressing section by section of the hymn book.   We hope to complete this by early 2021, God Willing.

Recordings Library updates

Thursday, 28th May 2020

Did you know the CIL Recordings Library has over 4,776 recordings that you can listen to either on the website, or download (or in a few cases watch)?  We can even send them to you on CD (or cassette tape!).  The recordings are from a wide range of speakers, and we have exhortations, lectures and bible studies, recordings of gatherings and conferences, and much more.  You can discover these recordings here: https://www.isolationleague.org/recordings

We've just uploaded 76 recordings that were submitted for review last year, you can find the recent updates here: https://www.isolationleague.org/recordings/recent.  This update noteably includes an exhortation from Dennis Gillett recorded at Suffolk Street Ecclesia, Birmingham in Oct 1976, entitled 'Simon Peter'.

CIL Meet Update

Friday, 24th April 2020

Re-broadcast to YouTube and other Live Stream Services!

CIL Meet is our livestreaming solution build specifically for Christadelphian Ecclesias and Organisations which can be used anywhere in the world (as long as you have a good internet connection).

It is private as the CIL Meet Rooms are only available when you log on to the CIL Website.   However this has also been a limitation in that many ecclesias also want to broadcast their services to contacts and friends who cannot have log in access to the website.  This is now possible through a new feature called re-broadcasting!
