¹ And this is the thing that thou shalt do unto them to hallow them, to minister unto me in the priest's office: Take one young bullock, and two rams without blemish,² And unleavened bread, and cakes unleavened tempered with oil, and wafers unleavened anointed with oil: of wheaten flour shalt thou make them.³ And thou shalt put them into one basket, and bring them in the basket, with the bullock and the two rams.⁴ And Aaron and his sons thou shalt bring unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, and shalt wash them with water.⁵ And thou shalt take the garments, and put upon Aaron the coat, and the robe of the ephod, and the ephod, and the breastplate, and gird him with the curious girdle of the ephod:⁶ And thou shalt put the mitre upon his head, and put the holy crown upon the mitre.⁷ Then shalt thou take the anointing oil, and pour it upon his head, and anoint him.⁸ And thou shalt bring his sons, and put coats upon them.⁹ And thou shalt gird them with girdles, Aaron and his sons, and put the bonnets on them: and the priest's office shall be theirs for a perpetual statute: and thou shalt consecrate Aaron and his sons.¹⁰ And thou shalt cause a bullock to be brought before the tabernacle of the congregation: and Aaron and his sons shall put their hands upon the head of the bullock.¹¹ And thou shalt kill the bullock before the LORD, by the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.¹² And thou shalt take of the blood of the bullock, and put it upon the horns of the altar with thy finger, and pour all the blood beside the bottom of the altar.¹³ And thou shalt take all the fat that covereth the inwards, and the caul that is above the liver, and the two kidneys, and the fat that is upon them, and burn them upon the altar.¹⁴ But the flesh of the bullock, and his skin, and his dung, shalt thou burn with fire without the camp: it is a sin offering.¹⁵ Thou shalt also take one ram; and Aaron and his sons shall put their hands upon the head of the ram.¹⁶ And thou shalt slay the ram, and thou shalt take his blood, and sprinkle it round about upon the altar.¹⁷ And thou shalt cut the ram in pieces, and wash the inwards of him, and his legs, and put them unto his pieces, and unto his head.¹⁸ And thou shalt burn the whole ram upon the altar: it is a burnt offering unto the LORD: it is a sweet savour, an offering made by fire unto the LORD.¹⁹ And thou shalt take the other ram; and Aaron and his sons shall put their hands upon the head of the ram.²⁰ Then shalt thou kill the ram, and take of his blood, and put it upon the tip of the right ear of Aaron, and upon the tip of the right ear of his sons, and upon the thumb of their right hand, and upon the great toe of their right foot, and sprinkle the blood upon the altar round about.²¹ And thou shalt take of the blood that is upon the altar, and of the anointing oil, and sprinkle it upon Aaron, and upon his garments, and upon his sons, and upon the garments of his sons with him: and he shall be hallowed, and his garments, and his sons, and his sons' garments with him.²² Also thou shalt take of the ram the fat and the rump, and the fat that covereth the inwards, and the caul above the liver, and the two kidneys, and the fat that is upon them, and the right shoulder; for it is a ram of consecration:²³ And one loaf of bread, and one cake of oiled bread, and one wafer out of the basket of the unleavened bread that is before the LORD:²⁴ And thou shalt put all in the hands of Aaron, and in the hands of his sons; and shalt wave them for a wave offering before the LORD.²⁵ And thou shalt receive them of their hands, and burn them upon the altar for a burnt offering, for a sweet savour before the LORD: it is an offering made by fire unto the LORD.²⁶ And thou shalt take the breast of the ram of Aaron's consecration, and wave it for a wave offering before the LORD: and it shall be thy part.²⁷ And thou shalt sanctify the breast of the wave offering, and the shoulder of the heave offering, which is waved, and which is heaved up, of the ram of the consecration, even of that which is for Aaron, and of that which is for his sons:²⁸ And it shall be Aaron's and his sons' by a statute for ever from the children of Israel: for it is an heave offering: and it shall be an heave offering from the children of Israel of the sacrifice of their peace offerings, even their heave offering unto the LORD.²⁹ And the holy garments of Aaron shall be his sons' after him, to be anointed therein, and to be consecrated in them.³⁰ And that son that is priest in his stead shall put them on seven days, when he cometh into the tabernacle of the congregation to minister in the holy place.³¹ And thou shalt take the ram of the consecration, and seethe his flesh in the holy place.³² And Aaron and his sons shall eat the flesh of the ram, and the bread that is in the basket by the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.³³ And they shall eat those things wherewith the atonement was made, to consecrate and to sanctify them: but a stranger shall not eat thereof, because they are holy.³⁴ And if ought of the flesh of the consecrations, or of the bread, remain unto the morning, then thou shalt burn the remainder with fire: it shall not be eaten, because it is holy.³⁵ And thus shalt thou do unto Aaron, and to his sons, according to all things which I have commanded thee: seven days shalt thou consecrate them.³⁶ And thou shalt offer every day a bullock for a sin offering for atonement: and thou shalt cleanse the altar, when thou hast made an atonement for it, and thou shalt anoint it, to sanctify it.³⁷ Seven days thou shalt make an atonement for the altar, and sanctify it; and it shall be an altar most holy: whatsoever toucheth the altar shall be holy.³⁸ Now this is that which thou shalt offer upon the altar; two lambs of the first year day by day continually.³⁹ The one lamb thou shalt offer in the morning; and the other lamb thou shalt offer at even:⁴⁰ And with the one lamb a tenth deal of flour mingled with the fourth part of an hin of beaten oil; and the fourth part of an hin of wine for a drink offering.⁴¹ And the other lamb thou shalt offer at even, and shalt do thereto according to the meat offering of the morning, and according to the drink offering thereof, for a sweet savour, an offering made by fire unto the LORD.⁴² This shall be a continual burnt offering throughout your generations at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation before the LORD: where I will meet you, to speak there unto thee.⁴³ And there I will meet with the children of Israel, and the tabernacle shall be sanctified by my glory.⁴⁴ And I will sanctify the tabernacle of the congregation, and the altar: I will sanctify also both Aaron and his sons, to minister to me in the priest's office.⁴⁵ And I will dwell among the children of Israel, and will be their God.⁴⁶ And they shall know that I am the LORD their God, that brought them forth out of the land of Egypt, that I may dwell among them: I am the LORD their God.

¹ Lord, thou hast been favourable unto thy land: thou hast brought back the captivity of Jacob.² Thou hast forgiven the iniquity of thy people, thou hast covered all their sin. Selah.³ Thou hast taken away all thy wrath: thou hast turned thyself from the fierceness of thine anger.⁴ Turn us, O God of our salvation, and cause thine anger toward us to cease.⁵ Wilt thou be angry with us for ever? wilt thou draw out thine anger to all generations?⁶ Wilt thou not revive us again: that thy people may rejoice in thee?⁷ Shew us thy mercy, O LORD, and grant us thy salvation.⁸ I will hear what God the LORD will speak: for he will speak peace unto his people, and to his saints: but let them not turn again to folly.⁹ Surely his salvation is nigh them that fear him; that glory may dwell in our land.¹⁰ Mercy and truth are met together; righteousness and peace have kissed each other.¹¹ Truth shall spring out of the earth; and righteousness shall look down from heaven.¹² Yea, the LORD shall give that which is good; and our land shall yield her increase.¹³ Righteousness shall go before him; and shall set us in the way of his steps.

¹ Bow down thine ear, O LORD, hear me: for I am poor and needy.² Preserve my soul; for I am holy: O thou my God, save thy servant that trusteth in thee.³ Be merciful unto me, O Lord: for I cry unto thee daily.⁴ Rejoice the soul of thy servant: for unto thee, O Lord, do I lift up my soul.⁵ For thou, Lord, art good, and ready to forgive; and plenteous in mercy unto all them that call upon thee.⁶ Give ear, O LORD, unto my prayer; and attend to the voice of my supplications.⁷ In the day of my trouble I will call upon thee: for thou wilt answer me.⁸ Among the gods there is none like unto thee, O Lord; neither are there any works like unto thy works.⁹ All nations whom thou hast made shall come and worship before thee, O Lord; and shall glorify thy name.¹⁰ For thou art great, and doest wondrous things: thou art God alone.¹¹ Teach me thy way, O LORD; I will walk in thy truth: unite my heart to fear thy name.¹² I will praise thee, O Lord my God, with all my heart: and I will glorify thy name for evermore.¹³ For great is thy mercy toward me: and thou hast delivered my soul from the lowest hell.¹⁴ O God, the proud are risen against me, and the assemblies of violent men have sought after my soul; and have not set thee before them.¹⁵ But thou, O Lord, art a God full of compassion, and gracious, long suffering, and plenteous in mercy and truth.¹⁶ O turn unto me, and have mercy upon me; give thy strength unto thy servant, and save the son of thine handmaid.¹⁷ Shew me a token for good; that they which hate me may see it, and be ashamed: because thou, LORD, hast holpen me, and comforted me.

¹ After two days was the feast of the passover, and of unleavened bread: and the chief priests and the scribes sought how they might take him by craft, and put him to death.² But they said, Not on the feast day, lest there be an uproar of the people.³ And being in Bethany in the house of Simon the leper, as he sat at meat, there came a woman having an alabaster box of ointment of spikenard very precious; and she brake the box, and poured it on his head.⁴ And there were some that had indignation within themselves, and said, Why was this waste of the ointment made?⁵ For it might have been sold for more than three hundred pence, and have been given to the poor. And they murmured against her.⁶ And Jesus said, Let her alone; why trouble ye her? she hath wrought a good work on me.⁷ For ye have the poor with you always, and whensoever ye will ye may do them good: but me ye have not always.⁸ She hath done what she could: she is come aforehand to anoint my body to the burying.⁹ Verily I say unto you, Wheresoever this gospel shall be preached throughout the whole world, this also that she hath done shall be spoken of for a memorial of her.¹⁰ And Judas Iscariot, one of the twelve, went unto the chief priests, to betray him unto them.¹¹ And when they heard it, they were glad, and promised to give him money. And he sought how he might conveniently betray him.¹² And the first day of unleavened bread, when they killed the passover, his disciples said unto him, Where wilt thou that we go and prepare that thou mayest eat the passover?¹³ And he sendeth forth two of his disciples, and saith unto them, Go ye into the city, and there shall meet you a man bearing a pitcher of water: follow him.¹⁴ And wheresoever he shall go in, say ye to the goodman of the house, The Master saith, Where is the guestchamber, where I shall eat the passover with my disciples?¹⁵ And he will shew you a large upper room furnished and prepared: there make ready for us.¹⁶ And his disciples went forth, and came into the city, and found as he had said unto them: and they made ready the passover.¹⁷ And in the evening he cometh with the twelve.¹⁸ And as they sat and did eat, Jesus said, Verily I say unto you, One of you which eateth with me shall betray me.¹⁹ And they began to be sorrowful, and to say unto him one by one, Is it I? and another said, Is it I?²⁰ And he answered and said unto them, It is one of the twelve, that dippeth with me in the dish.²¹ The Son of man indeed goeth, as it is written of him: but woe to that man by whom the Son of man is betrayed! good were it for that man if he had never been born.²² And as they did eat, Jesus took bread, and blessed, and brake it, and gave to them, and said, Take, eat: this is my body.²³ And he took the cup, and when he had given thanks, he gave it to them: and they all drank of it.²⁴ And he said unto them, This is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many.²⁵ Verily I say unto you, I will drink no more of the fruit of the vine, until that day that I drink it new in the kingdom of God.²⁶ And when they had sung an hymn, they went out into the mount of Olives.²⁷ And Jesus saith unto them, All ye shall be offended because of me this night: for it is written, I will smite the shepherd, and the sheep shall be scattered.²⁸ But after that I am risen, I will go before you into Galilee.²⁹ But Peter said unto him, Although all shall be offended, yet will not I.³⁰ And Jesus saith unto him, Verily I say unto thee, That this day, even in this night, before the cock crow twice, thou shalt deny me thrice.³¹ But he spake the more vehemently, If I should die with thee, I will not deny thee in any wise. Likewise also said they all.³² And they came to a place which was named Gethsemane: and he saith to his disciples, Sit ye here, while I shall pray.³³ And he taketh with him Peter and James and John, and began to be sore amazed, and to be very heavy;³⁴ And saith unto them, My soul is exceeding sorrowful unto death: tarry ye here, and watch.³⁵ And he went forward a little, and fell on the ground, and prayed that, if it were possible, the hour might pass from him.³⁶ And he said, Abba, Father, all things are possible unto thee; take away this cup from me: nevertheless not what I will, but what thou wilt.³⁷ And he cometh, and findeth them sleeping, and saith unto Peter, Simon, sleepest thou? couldest not thou watch one hour?³⁸ Watch ye and pray, lest ye enter into temptation. The spirit truly is ready, but the flesh is weak.³⁹ And again he went away, and prayed, and spake the same words.⁴⁰ And when he returned, he found them asleep again, (for their eyes were heavy,) neither wist they what to answer him.⁴¹ And he cometh the third time, and saith unto them, Sleep on now, and take your rest: it is enough, the hour is come; behold, the Son of man is betrayed into the hands of sinners.⁴² Rise up, let us go; lo, he that betrayeth me is at hand.⁴³ And immediately, while he yet spake, cometh Judas, one of the twelve, and with him a great multitude with swords and staves, from the chief priests and the scribes and the elders.⁴⁴ And he that betrayed him had given them a token, saying, Whomsoever I shall kiss, that same is he; take him, and lead him away safely.⁴⁵ And as soon as he was come, he goeth straightway to him, and saith, Master, master; and kissed him.⁴⁶ And they laid their hands on him, and took him.⁴⁷ And one of them that stood by drew a sword, and smote a servant of the high priest, and cut off his ear.⁴⁸ And Jesus answered and said unto them, Are ye come out, as against a thief, with swords and with staves to take me?⁴⁹ I was daily with you in the temple teaching, and ye took me not: but the scriptures must be fulfilled.⁵⁰ And they all forsook him, and fled.⁵¹ And there followed him a certain young man, having a linen cloth cast about his naked body; and the young men laid hold on him:⁵² And he left the linen cloth, and fled from them naked.⁵³ And they led Jesus away to the high priest: and with him were assembled all the chief priests and the elders and the scribes.⁵⁴ And Peter followed him afar off, even into the palace of the high priest: and he sat with the servants, and warmed himself at the fire.⁵⁵ And the chief priests and all the council sought for witness against Jesus to put him to death; and found none.⁵⁶ For many bare false witness against him, but their witness agreed not together.⁵⁷ And there arose certain, and bare false witness against him, saying,⁵⁸ We heard him say, I will destroy this temple that is made with hands, and within three days I will build another made without hands.⁵⁹ But neither so did their witness agree together.⁶⁰ And the high priest stood up in the midst, and asked Jesus, saying, Answerest thou nothing? what is it which these witness against thee?⁶¹ But he held his peace, and answered nothing. Again the high priest asked him, and said unto him, Art thou the Christ, the Son of the Blessed?⁶² And Jesus said, I am: and ye shall see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven.⁶³ Then the high priest rent his clothes, and saith, What need we any further witnesses?⁶⁴ Ye have heard the blasphemy: what think ye? And they all condemned him to be guilty of death.⁶⁵ And some began to spit on him, and to cover his face, and to buffet him, and to say unto him, Prophesy: and the servants did strike him with the palms of their hands.⁶⁶ And as Peter was beneath in the palace, there cometh one of the maids of the high priest:⁶⁷ And when she saw Peter warming himself, she looked upon him, and said, And thou also wast with Jesus of Nazareth.⁶⁸ But he denied, saying, I know not, neither understand I what thou sayest. And he went out into the porch; and the cock crew.⁶⁹ And a maid saw him again, and began to say to them that stood by, This is one of them.⁷⁰ And he denied it again. And a little after, they that stood by said again to Peter, Surely thou art one of them: for thou art a Galilaean, and thy speech agreeth thereto.⁷¹ But he began to curse and to swear, saying, I know not this man of whom ye speak.⁷² And the second time the cock crew. And Peter called to mind the word that Jesus said unto him, Before the cock crow twice, thou shalt deny me thrice. And when he thought thereon, he wept.
